Sales Job Search

Posted December 29th, 2009 by Vicki No Comments

Can’t say I’ve ever done a sales job search, as I’ve never thought sales was my thing, unless you mean sales at retail shops. *LOL* I’ve never been interested in a job where sales were important. I guess those kinds of jobs never really appealed because you have to deal with loads of people, and while as a kid I always loved socializing and such, as I’ve grown older I’ve drawn into myself a lot more. I prefer animals to people, so sales isn’t for me.

Espresso Machines

Posted December 11th, 2009 by Vicki No Comments

I doubt I’ve ever even seen any espresso machines as I generally find coffee shops too expensive for my budget, although I would love to try some of the stuff they have at Starbucks. Anyway, usually I just make regular old coffee at home, and once in awhile I get a cappachino at the gas stations, but I’m sure that the ones at Starbucks are better. Someday I might even try espresso.

Eagle Creek Luggage

Posted December 11th, 2009 by Vicki No Comments

Luggage is luggage as far as I’m concerned, although I do admitt that Eagle Creek luggage is nice looking basically, and for a decent price I suppose. It all seems kind of expensive to me, because I’m a duffle bag girl myself…I stuff everything in a duffle, and if it doesn’t fit, than I didn’t need it too badly…*LOL*…Do keep in mind that I used to have really BIG duffles. I find duffles more practical for camping than actual luggage sets, but I can see where luggage sets would be nice too.

RV Financing

Posted December 11th, 2009 by Vicki No Comments

I can’t say that looking into rv financing is anywhere near the top of my “want” list, but I have to say that if I had the money, I would love to pack up an RV and head out exploring. I don’t think I’d have any set destination, because there are so many places I want to go, so many places I want to see. I guess at the top of my list would be to go back to California to see my sis that lives there. I haven’t seen her in years and years, and I’d love for the girls to have a chance to really get to know her. After that, I’d probably take a trip home to Wyoming, so the kids could see where I was born, and so I could take a walk down memory lane. Who knows where we would wander after that.

E Cigarette

Posted December 11th, 2009 by Vicki No Comments

I don’t have a lot of experience with those new e cigarettes, but I do have a bit. I have used one for a few puffs, and it was interesting anyway. My bro got one for himself, and I have to admitt it was pretty cool because you can use it in places that don’t usually allow smoking. The reason is because it doesn’t release anything but water vapors into the air, so nothing harmful. It really helped him cut down on smoking, although I haven’t heard if he actually quit or not.

Live Chat Software

Posted December 11th, 2009 by Vicki No Comments

I have always been a fan of chatrooms, but it seems on the rare occasions that I do find a chat room that I like, it isn’t around very long, or I don’t like the people that end up coming there. I would be interested in knowing what live chat software I would need to set up my own chatroom, but then too I would have a problem as I wouldn’t know enough people to keep it active, and wouldn’t really want it open to everyone as that’s when chat drama occurs.

Graduation Announcements

Posted December 11th, 2009 by Vicki No Comments

I don’t think I will be receiving any graduation announcements this year. I can’t think of anyone I know who is graduating, of course I could be wrong.

This past spring the girls and I had such a good time attending Steven’s graduation. I hung around my bro’s and sis’s mostly, as I did feel a bit out of place since they had a lot of their out-of-town family come down, but it was okay.

I hope I can make the girls’ graduation a special affair. *LOL* Yes, I am already looking that far in the future.

Breeches

Posted December 11th, 2009 by Vicki No Comments

I’ve been around horses all my life, and hope that at some point I can get a horse of my own again, but that’s another topic for another time.

I wonder if people realize that unless they are doing shows of one sort or another, they really don’t need all the fancy breeches and other clothing….Or that your saddle or bridle does not have to be weighted down with fancy plating.

I’ve always gone for servicability, not beauty when it comes to my equestrian supplies.

Careers

Posted December 11th, 2009 by Vicki No Comments

Since childhood I often changed my mind about what careers I was interested in. A vet, a librarian, a teacher, and a few more…*LOL* A few people thought I should be a lawyer, since I was always so good at arguing and debating things. However I was never sure what I wanted to do. Nothing I could say that I would truly enjoy doing day after day, which is why I never went to college, or pursued an actual career. Even the medical transcriptioning classes I did, I finished them and became certified, but it was just a job to me, not something I particularly enjoyed.

Blogging I enjoy, and I can do that at home, I just wish there was a more constant flow of work.

Pleasant Suprise

Posted December 7th, 2009 by Vicki No Comments

It is always a pleasant suprise to get a message from my long-time friend Des. We don’t get a chance to talk much, or even email each other much, as my internet time is spotty at the moment, and she is always so very busy, but that has never made things weird for us. We have been friends since I was about 10 years old. Yep, that’s a long time. In fact, my daughter, the oldest one, is named after my friend. Anyway it was nice to get a short note from her the other day, in which I promptly responded. I sure do miss her. We are sisters of the soul, through and through..
