Auto Insurance

Posted January 25th, 2010 by Vicki No Comments

Well it’s almost time for me to be looking at auto insurance again. I plan to use some of my tax refund to get another car. Hopefully I can find what I want for a reasonable price, but then again, moving will come before a new vehicle.

As always I have a million things that I would like to do with my tax refund, so it’s just a wait and see moment to find out how much I will get back, and how much I can stretch it to do what I want.

Life

Posted January 19th, 2010 by Vicki No Comments

Life hasn’t been easy lately. We are all ready to move. There hasn’t been anything really wrong with staying where we’ve been, but we (the girls, Dad, and I) are all ready to have our own space again, our own things around us. I want to cook what I want to cook, with my own pans, in my own kitchen. I want my bed back!!! *LOL*

Staying where we are has been a blessing, and I am forever thankful that we had a place to go in a time of need, but I’m ready to be on my own again.

The girls are wanting their things around them. Wanting more space than what we have. Not wanting interference from other parties on what is okay and what is not.

I know it hasn’t really been much of an update as to what has been going on, but it’s the best I can do right now. I’ve been really busy with my paid blogging lately, so my internet time has been limited to getting those taken care of. That too will change when we finally get a chance to move.

Vitamins

Posted January 19th, 2010 by Vicki No Comments

I’ve never been much for taking vitamins. I usually take a multi-vitamin designed for women, and that’s about all. I don’t force my kids to take vitamins either, though they do like the chewable Vitamin C, and a very few brands of children’s multi-vitamins. I can’t say that it helps keep us healthy, but I know it doesn’t do any harm either.

My Mother was a big believer in vitamins, and had some for just about anything that ailed you.

Eczema

Posted January 19th, 2010 by Vicki No Comments

I am forever thankful that my daughter’s eczema isn’t serious. As long as she takes regular showers to keep her skin clean, and regularly uses a good lotion she does good most of the time. In the winter we have a bit more problem, because her skin dries out more, but a few extra doses of lotion, or some baby oil in the bath usually takes care of the breakout, or itchy skin. I hope that it continues to be easy to treat.

Vitamins For Men

Posted January 19th, 2010 by Vicki No Comments

Maybe she should look into some vitamins while she was here. Her father was an avid vitamin person, always taking the vitamins for men, and she knew that there were bottle after bottle of vitamins for women as well. It couldn’t hurt, and maybe that would give her a little extra boost as well. Maybe she wouldn’t feel so unenergized, and frumpy. Although she didn’t really think that vitamins would change how she felt about her overall appearance.

Natural Appetite Suppressant

Posted January 19th, 2010 by Vicki No Comments

One of her co-workers at the office had once suggested a natural appetite suppressant a few months ago, maybe that was her hint then that she needed to do something different with herself.

She had never felt so dis-satisfied with life. It was a new experience to her, and not one that she was particularly enjoying. She had even been toying with the idea of taking some time off work, maybe taking a vacation.

Diet Pills

Posted January 19th, 2010 by Vicki No Comments

Hmm, maybe she should consider some diet pills to add into her make-over as well. She wasn’t really fat, but wasn’t really skinny either. She wouldn’t mind losing a size, maybe two. But then she thought to herself, maybe she should just start going to the gym or something once or twice a week, as part of her new self. Yes, she decided that she would stop by the gym on her way home and renew her long lapsed membership.

Best Wrinkle Cream

Posted January 19th, 2010 by Vicki No Comments

Here she was, a single 35 year old woman in the middle of the drugstore perusing the best wrinkle cream. She wasn’t even sure why she was here, except lately she had been feeling frumpy looking, and lonely. She had already gone on a shopping spree for new clothes, had her hair cut and styled differently, and now she was here, picking up some new makeup, and wondering if she should buy some wrinkle cream.

Flu Vaccines

Posted January 8th, 2010 by Vicki No Comments

After trying this product, I must say that I found it interesting. It is reported to be a dietary supplement, NOT really a flu vaccines or a cure for the flu. It really did taste like Elderberry, which was kind of a suprise to me, because so many things are “supposed” to taste like something, but then don’t taste anything like it, especially in the medical realm. The taste was not unpleasant, but then I love the taste of almost any berry.

I like the idea of it boosting my immune system. I don’t want to get sick, so try to do things that will help keep me healthy.

There is a nifty little video on the Respiratory Guard website, about how this product works. I found this extremely cool, and a much better natural alternative to most flu vaccines.

If you have used this product, please leave a comment as I would love to hear how this product worked for you!!

This review is a result of a feedback campaign by Respiratory Guard. The recipients were asked to give their honest opinion about the product they received. Good reviews were not incentivized and poor reviews will not be censored for their opinion of the product.

Winter Weather

I apologize for the lapse in personal entries!! I didn’t realize it had been so long since I had done one here. There are many times I’ve thought of doing a personal entry, but then decide that I better now, as I might say something unkind.

We’ve had a bit of snow here lately, in fact it’s sort of snowing right now. Flurries, if they can be called that. Basically I think it’s snow that we got last night floating around in the breeze. It’s supposed to be cold all week, something that I’m not looking forward to!! I used to love playing in the snow as a child, but now it just makes me cold. *LOL* The girls worry about driving in the snow, but they do well with staying calm, even though their fear threatens panic. I am so proud of my girls!!

The girls are having a rough emotional time right now, because of our living situation. I have done pretty well at not getting seriously upset with them, and hope I can continue to be a good example to them, and an even better example. Times are hard right now, and it’s straining everyone’s emotions, but we will survive, and be stronger because of these hard times. Yes I truly believe that. It doesn’t really help get through these hard times, but it does give me a glimmer of hope for the future.

There are bright spots in these hard times!! We were kept busy during their vacation, as both the girls participated in a program called Star Struck in a nearby town. They learned a song, with a group, and then performed the song on stage last night at the Burlington Opry. They were beautiful and wonderful!! I am so proud of them for their hard work!! They are hoping to do it again, and I am hoping they do it again too!! They had so much fun, and were so wonderful! I am saddened that Bubble didn’t choose to come, but I suppose it was their choice to again not support the girls in something. It is normal, I shouldn’t be upset and disappointed, but I am!! I was there, Dad was there, and the girls were happy with that!! Lots of people at the show told the girls how good they had done, it made them really happy to recieve so many compliments. I am hoping that next time maybe some of the other family can come and see them, like Sonia, Sue, Adam and Mom, but we will have to wait and see. They live lots farther away, and money is tighter for them. At least the girls knew that they would have been there if they could have been, they know that they have that love and support.

Today we prepare for school and life to continue. Laundry is being done as we speak, I need to go through the girls backpacks tonight and make sure everything necesary is in there. We need to gather up hats and gloves as it appears we will need them for a little while longer, run through our math facts so we are ready for the coming week. It will be nice to be busy and distracted again.
