Winter Lilies

I’m really at a loss tonight to do a blog entry on security cameras. Most of the time I don’t have a problem talking about just about any subject, or building a story around any topic, but I am just drawing a blank tonight.

Maybe it is the incessant barking dogs, or the little girl next door that is barking with the dogs. It probably wouldn’t be so bad, but I have the windows open, whichever ones I can open that is, so that allows me to hear the dogs and girl all the better.

I am forever doing those free life insurance quotes. Always looking for a good deal on life insurance. I have a decent amount now, but I want enough to insure that the girls would have what they need if something ever happened to me.

You are never to young to think about these things, especially when you have children!! Planning ahead is not a bad thing!

I went to the Rec Center a few weeks ago, and while the girls were swimming, I went upstairs and got on one of there ellipticals. It was a good workout for sure, but I’m not sure that would be my workout of choice. This summer I imagine the girls will want to go to the pool quite often, and maybe I can get back into the weight room. I’ve always liked the weight room. I’m not out to build a lot of muscle, but more to tone up what I have.

I wish someone could tell me what the best acne face wash is. Every day I am closer to needing to look into that type of stuff for both the girls. They are growing up so fast it seems.

Yesterday I heard a boy say that Des was cute. I’m quite sure how I feel about that. She is cute, she is beautiful, but to have a boy say so…*sigh* I don’t think I’m ready for that!!!

Sorry I’m so far behind on blogging!!!! We have spent the last week moving!!! Yes I said MOVING!!!! I am sooooo happy to finally be moved!!!! It’s been a rough move though, not only did we move all of our stuff to the new place, but we also spent 2 days clearing out a storage shed that we’ve had for like 15 years….so anyway it made for some very long days.

Now I am spending my time trying to get everything unpacked, all the clothing and bedding washed, and getting my house in order.

We don’t have internet at the house at this point, so I’m still stuck coming to the library, but it won’t be for long. I’m checking internet options as we speak, as well as trying to get some overdue work done.

Not much of an update I know, but I have tons of work to do so I need to get it started.

The house hunt is one difficulty after another. I thought I had found a house a month ago or so, but after looking at the house we decided that it was not a wise choice. Then acouple weeks ago I thought I had found another one, but the landlord already has renters in it, and is having trouble getting them to move out….so that one went down the drain too. Then this past week I thought I had finally found the one! We looked at it, liked it, price was right, was all set to move, Dad had even scheduled time off work so we could move, and then I get a call from the owner saying that he’s not sure he wants to rent it, he might just tear it down instead. *bangs head on table* I was so upset, am still sooooo upset!!! I thought finally after 6 months that we would be able to move, and then I get this news!! I still haven’t heard one way or the other yet…I keep hoping, praying, begging, and pleading that he will decide to go ahead and rent it to us….The waiting is killing me!!!

I’ve never really cared what kind of shoes that I have. I wouldn’t know the difference between Michael Kors shoes and Walmart shoes. Price and being comfortable is what matters to me.

I took the kids to a shoe store here about a month ago and was going to buy them 2 pair each….After seeing the total when it was rung up, I decided to only get one pair each for them, and then went over to Walmart to get them their second pair.

I don’t know what an Austin job search is like, but I know things are hard here in Kansas. I haven’t done much job searching in the last year or so, and I won’t until after we move.

I’d like to get on at a certain place around here that is pretty stable, and decent pay. I figure if I can get hired Dad and I would only have to work for a year at most before Dad could finally retire. He’s been wanting to retire for a long time, but of course the financial difficulties have prevented that.

At this point I don’t care what kind of kitchen faucets I have, I just want them to be in a house of my own!!

I am waiting for a phone call today about a house. I am hoping, praying, pleading, begging for this to work out, because I am so desperate to get out of here!! I don’t know what I will do if this house does not work out, it seems about the only option at this point.

I just love deals, especially daily deals!! Here not too long ago I went shopping at a store and they had a whole bunch of things on clearance, and to top it all off, they also had a 20% off sale going on, which included there clearance items. I made out like a bandit. Unfortunetly they didn’t have anything for the girls, but they had several items for me. Considering I don’t have that many clothes to begin with, it was awesome! I picked up some shorts, t-shirts, a nice blouse, and a pair of slacks.
