Megan and I went shopping for Desiree’s upcoming birthday today. Shopping has become more difficult as she’s moved out of the toy/kid stage. I was looking for a personalized gift, like maybe an ID bracelet, but I didn’t find anything that I really like. I did however find her a nice pearl necklace that I think she’ll really enjoy.
The necklace along with acouple of outfits completes what Grandpa and I bought for her. I’ll get her some books and maybe a movie when I go up to Hastings later this week.

I get confused by the difference between term life insurance and those other types. I do feel that my girls will be fairly well taken care of, in the event something happens to me. I just wish it wasn’t all so confusing. I’m really glad that my insurance agent does her best to try and explain it all to me. However none of the information ever sticks in my head.

It’s never been a secret that I LOVE books, but I can’t keep all the books I like, nor do I want to, because some that I read I don’t like enough to want to read again.
I love places where you can sell used books, and also buy used books.
I do wish there was a place closer to here. Right now I have to go all the way to Topeka, but I guess it’s not that much of a hardship, because I go to SAM’s Club up there.

I’m not all that mechanically inclined, however I have managed to put a few hose clamps on my cars over the years, and when we moved in here, I put the dryer vent hose on, complete with clamps. Isn’t that amazing? *LOL*
You are talking to the person that messes up putting on a new air filter on the car…*LOL* I feel pretty fortunate that I’m able to unclog my vacuum most of the time.
Mechanics and home repair is just not my thing.

One of the hardest, most difficult management jobs in the world is being a parent and running a home, in my opinion anyway.
I love my job as a home-keeper and parent, but it’s really hard sometimes!! Right now seems especially hard. School has just started up again, so I’m trying to work myself and the girls back into a routine that works. The most difficult part I’m finding is that balance that they must have between playing, and helping out around the house. I’m not sure how to go about it. They are unwilling to help mostly, but I don’t think that’s right, since they live here to. I’m not asking for much, at least not in my opinion. I would be happy if they did 1 or 2 simple jobs every day, but they are unwilling to even do that. I’m not sure what to do!!

Seems like there are car insurance companies everywhere I go, each promising the best prices, the best coverage, the best customer service. I must admit that it makes it difficult to make the right decision. I am happy with my current company, but that doesn’t mean that I’m not always looking to make sure that they are the best company for me. They have been good to me, so it would take a lot for me to switch companies.

This company has over 120 styles of mbt shoes. MBT shoes are called the “anti-shoe”, which sounds like it’s be right up my ally, since I’m not really a shoe person.
I have one pair of tennis shoes that I wear most of the time, one pair of flip flops that I wear when I take the trash out, my cowboy boots, and one pair of black high heels. That’s it, that suits my needs most of the time.

I’ve been having many different kinds of discussions with the girls lately on a wide variety of subjects. They will hear words like Mesothelioma, and being the curious ones they are, they will ask me what it is.
It’s a good thing the internet has information on anything! I’ve been doing a lot of internet searches lately, for things for my websites, and so I can explain to the girls what certain things are.

I’m not really interested in getting a PS3 at this point and time. I have a PS2 that’s barely been used. I only have like 4 games for it, and one that we borrowed from my brother a few days ago.
Acouple of years ago the cables that plug into the tv got chewed up, so we don’t have sound, so no one really has wanted to play it much, until recently because it’s something different to do.

I generally like warranties, so I guess if I were to have an Ipad, I would probably have an ipad warranty. However their is one small problem….I don’t know what an Ipad is.
I’ve heard of Ipods, but not Ipads. I guess one of these days I need to find out what it is…in the meantime I’m busy learning about mp3 players, Ipods, and DS thingys…
